It is very good coffee. The ease of use and straight forward operation are one of the many things I like about this maker. I checked the water temp as it enters the grounds basket and it was consistently at 205 degrees F. I know the reasons for limiting the hot plate time to 40 min but my personal preference would be to add a timer dial to the plate to let the user choose the heat time For me I make the coffee then transfer it to a thermos that keeps it hot for a longer time If anyone is looking at more expensive version of this type of coffee maker give Simply Good Coffee brand some consideration

Yeah, I had a Mr. Coffee maker machine for 40 years. This is better, but yeah, it should be. Will it last 40 years? Not sure I will be around to make that judgment. Glad I bought it though. I like coffee and this machine does it well.

I bought this primarily for use when we have guests in town. It's easy enough to dial in grind, then I've been brewing 60 grams of coffee for eight cups. I like to leave the cover off the filter holder so I can assess for bloom and brewing. Amazing quality drinks for a simple, relatively inexpensive unit.

The OCB, from what i see is well built. I didn't realize it had a glass handle. I like the bloom feature, and it makes the coffee at 199 degrees. I would like a way to keep coffee warmer on for 60 minutes and then turn off/ Finally , wish it was just a little bigger, and could go to 55 oz.

The Simply Good Coffee - Olson Coffee Brewer is probably the best coffee brewer I've used. Easily equal to the Technivorm Moccamaster and much better than the Bonavita Connoisseur. I have tried all sorts of beans in it and it has worked spectacularly with all of them. Plus, it's reasonably priced. "Scuse me. Gotta go. My coffee is ready!"

Absolutely LOVE my new Olson brewer! It brews up to 42oz (8 cups) at a consistent 195°-205°F and includes the all-important bloom phase for freshly-roasted beans. It’s made of high-quality material AND comes with a 2-year warranty. I actually did a side-by-side comparison of the Olson with the Moccamaster KBGV Select, and the brewing specs are identical on the Olson (at HALF the cost)! Why pay so much more for a brewer that does everything the Olson can? 🔥🔥 I would highly recommend this brewer to anyone looking for an outstanding machine.

It is true to its name. It really makes good coffee and it is simple. I am enjoying its ease of use and how well it brews. I look forward to using it each morning. The speed it comes up to temp is remarkable. Within 6 minutes and with little effort I’m enjoying my morning brew! I’m having fun experimenting with the bloom option and the closing valve. There’s ways to have some control over the brewing process for those who want to control water contact time. I highly recommend it and I’m Specialty Coffee Association certified in brewing.
